Catch a Falling Star

...Or maybe a falling fashion blogger?  I have yet to actually try on and successfully walk in a pair of magical and mystical heeless pumps. I should probably get on that.

But anyway, I could take this time to blab on about how awesome my kindred spirit Greg Selkoe is, or further philosophize on the Lorena-Bobbitization of the high-heeled shoe, but instead I'll just show you these awesome and adorable Jeffery Campbell 'Starynite' shoes available on karmaloop.com. Who needs a traditional, penis-shaped heel when instead you could use an adorable metallic star heel? This is by far the cutest and least creepy heeless platform shoe I have seen yet.

10,000 Leagues Under the Sea Punk

Ok, I've been a bad, bad blogista. I've allowed moving and the 9to5 to take up time that could be spent internet browsing and street styling. (Whoever you were, random girl on the subway with pink hair, a neon pink purse, and a pink trench coat, you rock.) Anyway, hopefully these will make it up to you. Courtesy of the "emerging trends"  event (whatever that means, aren't all fashion weeks about 'emerging trends?') at Boston Fashion week (again, whatever that means).

Also, apparently SeaPunk is now a thing. You read it here first.

What. The. Hot. Fuck.

Yes, it's pretty obvious I stole this from ManRepeller. But seriously if this doesn't deserve a re-post then I don't think anything in the history of the world does. I don't know what's scarier- the fact that these cost about your monthly rent on a centrally-located two bedroom apartment, the fact that someone somewhere is actually paying that much for them, or the fact that the more I stare at them, the more I think "hey, maybe I could make those work after all..." Fun Fact: I'm pretty sure that same metallic fabric made an appearance in at least three of my home-made halloween costumes before the age of 10. If you want your foot to resemble an all-in-one parade float meets fairy-princess-carnival, look no further.

Yup, I'm a DesiGirl

With Betsey Johnson sadly going out of business, there was a deep and aching void left in my soul for favorite designer. This void was filled in about .009 femtoseconds, however (Sorry, Betsey), by Desigual. Not only are the designs as original and colorful as the city they hail from (Barcelona), but most of their tops and purses actually retail for solidly less than $100. Factor in their Marilyn line and Cirque Du Soliel collaboration, and I was sold.

So if you were ever looking for an Urban, mostly black-and-white, trench coat with a metallic blue waist band and colorful artsy detailing, look no further. Fun fact: "Electro Magie" is french for "Electro Magic" (I think.)

Liquid Liner Lovin'

Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Liner in Woodstock (Pink)

At long last! A Pink Eye-Liner! I was on a quest for the perfect (preferably UV-Reactive) Neon Pink Eyeliner... but apparently the magical ingredients of neon have not yet been FDA approved for eye use in the US. Bummer. Big government ruining our cosmetic endeavors. Until then, if you're willing to sacrifice glow for subtle metallic glitz, it's great to finally find a really eye-popping bright pink liner.Seriously, why aren't there more?
